postCards
Our first product (the first of several to come in the next few months) is aimed at the millions of people who use social networking sites like MySpace to communicate and to construct an identity for themselves. We call this product postCards.

postCards are different in many ways than almost anything else you are likely to see in a comment section today. They are customizable, creative and automatically post-able.
Customizable:
We have created a tool that allows a user to quickly and easily make the content they are leaving on their friend’s pages their own. You will see this tool used for other types of content in the very near future. With this tool, we are aiming for the right balance of power and ease-of-use. It would be very easy to get carried away here and give users something approaching Photoshop but we feel that people will find the tool powerful, easy and fun. If there is something that you would like to be able to control that we haven’t allowed for or something that is confusing to you, we’d love to hear about it.
Creative:
Matt (our creative director) will be writing soon to talk about the content he and his team have put together but I’d like to point out that we aren’t planning on just rolling out a tool and crossing our fingers hoping that people do something interesting there. We will be creating our own content and inviting talented people to work alongside us to create a vibrant and engaging creative environment (lots more on this soon).
Automatic Posting:
People have really gotten used to doing a lot of things on their own. So much so in fact, that it seems nobody is really thinking about how to improve their experience. One of the things we’ve seen that just didn’t make sense to us is the practice of finding comment graphics on a site, copying the html, navigating to a friends website, posting the html and then repeating the process for each friend you want to speak with. Our tool fixes all of that. By giving us your MySpace username and password, we can suck your friends list into the tool and allow you to send postCards to as many of your friends as you would like (MySpace currently doesn’t allow you to send to more than 40 friends in a 12 hour period because the system thinks you are spamming). Of course, if you choose to, you can still just pick up the html and post it the old-fashioned way. We will be adapting the tool to work with more friends networks and blogs in the next few months.
This is just an initial broad overview … future posts will talk about specific parts of the site in greater detail. Also, this site is still very much under construction so we would love to hear your comments, questions or thoughts.
