AGI Applications & NPD Team Blog
The blog is the place where the AGI Applications & NPD Team lives. Here, you can see what’s new with the team, engage in discussion with our people and other technology aficionados, and suggest things you’d like to see AG Interactive get into.
Our first project was the Kiwee Beta postCard Maker... but we have evolved since then to support various innovations (including websites, social network apps, mobile apps, desktop software) for AG Interactive.
Where did my friends go?
A few weeks ago, as some of you may have noticed, we removed the MySpace friends list capability from the site. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the site had the capability to bring your MySpace friends list into the postCard tool - allowing you to send a custom comment graphic to as many of your friends as you want; all from one place and without the need to copy and paste any html.
What happened you ask? MySpace made some changes to the way they display friends and it caused our tool to perform erratically. We felt that the experience was unacceptable so we pulled the tool down. If you are like me and have grown used to this way of sending graphics, you really do miss it when its gone ... unfortunately, this came up right when we were busy launching the new site with content for Windows Live Messenger, so we haven't yet been able to get it back up. We expect tools like this to run into problems every now and again but unfortunately this just came at a bad time. We are hard at work on an entirely new tool for synchronizing your friends and automatically posting content and we hope to have it up soon. Until then, thank you for you patience and - as always - please give us your feedback.
Relaunch
Okay ... so here it is. Our new site. We never really warmed up to the old grey site so now we've launched a new one - with a whole bunch of cool new stuff (and an implicit promise for tons more).
So ... a quick rundown of what we've added:
New Content: The biggest new thing is four new kinds of content for
Windows Live Messenger. Many of you may know us as the company who has provided content for Microsoft's IM client for the last couple of years in 15 different countries. We're happy to be able to bring this content to you for free in our new site.
New Look: We hope you like the way this looks because we certainly do ... if you don't like it, when we see you on the street, it would be great if you pretended you did.
New Stage: We have a new home for all the things we want to do ... and there is a lot coming. Check back often.
So ... what do you think of the new site? We'd love to hear from you.
