AGI Applications & NPD Team Blog

The blog is the place where the AGI Applications & NPD Team lives. Here, you can see what’s new with the team, engage in discussion with our people and other technology aficionados, and suggest things you’d like to see AG Interactive get into. Our first project was the Kiwee Beta postCard Maker... but we have evolved since then to support various innovations (including websites, social network apps, mobile apps, desktop software) for AG Interactive.

100,000

Well that was quick ... after spending several months building the registered user base up to 50,000 on Kiwee.com, we have really started to catch fire and have gone from 50,000 to 100,000 registered users in only 16 days.

So, to provide some context around that number, we have more people registered with our site than live in Greenland, Bermuda, Dominica or Tonga.

In fact (while I'm on this geography bent), in the month of August we have received visitors from 209 of the world's 221 countries including 178 from Iran, 123 from Iraq, 43 from Afghanistan, 17 from Madagascar and 1 each from Palau, The Cook Islands, Tonga and Tajikstan. As for the countries we haven't reached yet, if you know anyone in Vatican City, The Pitcairn Islands or Nauru you might want to let them know about the Kiwee phenomenon before they feel left out.

Gracias por tu ayuda

Big thanks to the folks at TecnoBITA.com out of Caracas, Venezuela for putting together a blog post and instructional video showing how to use the Kiwee site to install Windows Live Messenger content. My Spanish is pretty rusty but the post seems fairly straight forward in describing how the site works and the video is simple enough to not require any language at all:

Now, there is the issue of some people apparently thinking our logo makes it look like our name is Kiwe9, but I'll get to that on another blog post.

So, to TecnoBita.com, agradece otra vez por tu ayuda y esperamos oir de ti pronto.

Enjoy

50,000 !

Fifty thousand ... That's a lot of people. Almost as many as live in Greenland. Its also the number of people who have registered themselves with Kiwee in the short time since we've launched. You can see how many people have signed up with us each day, along with how much content they have used, in the 'Kiwee Facts' section of our homepage.

Now, you might notice a bit larger number just below that. No, that isn't a typo. For the last couple of years, Kiwee has been providing content to Windows Live Messenger users in 15 countries all over the world. We've recently added these content types (Winks, Emoticons, Display Pictures and Backgrounds) to Kiwee.com and that has really started to bring people to our site.

We're really excited about where the site is going and the growth of our audience. We hope you're enjoying it and hope to hear from you.

MySpace Graphics are here!

Hey everyone,

Today we launched a new product on www.kiwee.com cleverly called "Graphics." In case the name doesn't say it - Graphics are animated and static images that can be placed anywhere that HTML code is accepted. You can place Graphics (aka MySpace Graphics) on your MySpace page, your friend's MySpace page, your blog and just about any other social networking site. And like all the content on Kiwee, Graphics are FREE! Graphics are a great way of expressing how you feel when you just can't find the words - feeling naughty or flirty or in love? Well we can help... you express yourself.

One of the cool features we've added to Graphics is the ability to add your own message in the comment. You can type any message you want and it will be included in the code you copy. Here is how they look:

Kiwee is coming, you better run, suckas!!!

At Kiwee we got what you need. We got glitter text. We got Frida. We got romantic candy hearts. We got loving animals. We got a lot of different stuff so check it out. And as always we love your feedback, so as our intern tells me: "holla atcha boy!"
